Meet your personal guide on the morning of your tour at Amsterdam Central Station. After a short train ride, you'll collect your rental bike (additional expense), and get ready to set off on your private custom bicycle tour in the countryside. There will be no city cycling on this tour.

Starting time and tour duration are flexible, with 5 hours and 16 miles (25 kilometers) as the recommended minimum for the best two-wheeled experience. Customize the day to best suit your abilities and interests as you begin biking on easy routes in the countryside. Pedal past windmills, forts, medieval castle, and winding rivers and canals as you tap your art-historian guide's impressive banks of knowledge about the culture and history of the area.

Let your guide know at the time of booking if you'd like to include a traditional Dutch picnic lunch, with a variety of Dutch cheeses, beverages, and bread baked from organic flour ground in a nearby windmill (additional expense).

After the bike tour, you'll return to Amsterdam's Central Station.

Picnic lunch pack available upon request (EUR 10). Please ask at least 4 days before tour date. Home baked bread rolls from different organic flours produced by the local windmill, with various Dutch cheeses - no meat or fish. Water, fruit juices and chocolate milk. Plus extra cookies and typical Dutch treats. In fact, a picnic lunch pack is full day catering.
