Check in with the SkyWalk desk after making your own way to the Sky Tower. Your guide provides you with a SkyJump coverall suit that is worn over your clothing. Then put on your harness and other safety gear, which your guide assists you to securely fasten.

Receive a safety briefing then take the elevator with your guide to reach the SkyWalk platform, located 630 feet (192 meters) above the busy downtown streets. Follow your guide as you walk out to a 4-foot (1.2-meter) wide metal platform that makes a complete circle around the tower. You are securely attached by your harness and there are no handrails.

Marvel at breathtaking 360-degree views over the Hauraki Gulf as your guide points key landmarks around Auckland Harbour and the islands beyond. The sights and sounds from this bird’s-eye view will amaze you.

If you feel daring, your guide shows you how to lean out over the edge and a few other fun daredevil tricks. You may start by clinging nervously to your rope, but soon you’ll be feeling on top of the world and waving at people who are dining in the Sky Tower's restaurant.

Once back inside, return your safety gear, browse the photos and videos of your SkyWalk and have the option to purchase some to show your friends and family. You also receive a complimentary pass to the Sky Tower observation deck, which you can explore on your own after your SkyWalk.

Age: Min 10 yrs (Children 14 and under need to be accompanied by an adult)
Weight: Min 35kg - Max 127kg (78-279lbs). Min 45kg (100lbs) in wind speed over 40kmph (24mph), under 35kg may be taken on a case by case basis provided that customers fit the safety harness correctly
Liquid courage: We are required to breathalyse all SkyWalkers to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. The current limit is 400 micrograms of alcohol per litre of breath
Clothing: Flat, lace-up secure footwear must be worn. Wear comfortable clothing, no loose items permitted – on-site storage lockers
Medical Conditions: These are a case by case basis so please talk to the team if you have a medical condition, pregnant women are unable to SkyWalk (refer to bungy.co.nz/safety for more information)
Spectators: Not permitted, however customers can watch the SkyWalk from Level 60 of the Sky Tower

Highly recommended, your start out a bit apprehensive then by the time you are done ready for another walk. Make sure you wear trainers with ties, they provide shoes but it made my footing less confident.

Professional company, felt extremely safe the whole tour. Was a fun and crazy experience. We had bad weather which was a bit of a shame, couldn't really get much out of the view, but the experience of stepping out and walking around the tour was still felt in full force.

I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to these sorts of things and could never bring myself to do the SkyJump like my wife did, so I compromised and did the less-intense SkyWalk instead. As someone who is afraid of heights, I was really nervous beforehand but our guide, JP, was awesome. He made sure we all felt comfortable and safe and that we trusted our equipment. We were blessed with a beautiful, clear day, so we had stunning 360 views of Auckland the whole time. I was lucky to be part of a really friendly and fun group of people, so we all had a great time! I surprised myself by doing all of the challenges and by the end of the tour, I felt completely comfortable standing atop the tower, some 630 feet above the city. We had to head to the airport straight afterward, so doing the SkyWalk/SkyJump was an amazing way to end our incredible time in New Zealand!

Great tour with a fantastic guide and frankly terrifying challenges, although the pictures were very expesnive.
