After hotel pickup in Bangkok, relax on the drive to Nakhon Nayok Province. The first stop on your tour of the countryside is a morning market where you'll find fresh fruit along with delicious Thai foods.

Follow up with an ox-cart ride through a rice paddy and learn from a local farmer how to plant, grow, and plough the fields. Your guide accompanies you to a fruit plantation where fruits such as mangosteen, durian, rambutan, and other regional fruits are grown. You'll join a Thai cooking class, followed by a mouthwatering lunch.

In the afternoon, visit one of many royal developments projects initiated by His Majesty King Bhumibol. You'll continue to learn about Thai farming practices and visit the Khun Dan Dam hydraulic turret, the longest cement dam in the world.

Complete your day trip with the return drive to Bangkok and drop-off at your hotel.

Both Kath and I had a great day day. Sammie's knowledge of the country was incredibly. Going to a functional rice farm, and getting down and dirt was a highlight. To my surprise, I wasn't a bad cook either.

A long hot day but the experience was worth it. Mango our guide was full on right from the start at our hotel pick up till dropped us off at our hotel. He very knowledgeable and very entertaining. From our cart ride through the countryside, Mango had us booted up and planting rice in the fields. Then for lunch we had one of the best cooking lessons given by the locals at their home. Bangkok Rim certainly delivered.I would certainly recommend this day trip
