Oller del Mas is not a common winery – its superb ecological wines have earned plenty of awards in the recent years. In fact, one of its wines won the “Best Wine in Catalonia” award in 2018. But the cellar is not only special for its wines. You will take a stroll by the vineyards, learn how the wine is made, and discover all of its secrets.

The silhouette of Montserrat mountain range majestically presides the horizon as you are driven through the countryside surrounding Barcelona. Beautifully crafted sparkling wines and local food await in Ca n’Estella cava winery to captivate your senses while you learn about the region and the fascinating history of the family who runs the cellar. A beautiful 18th century masia (the traditional Catalan country house) presides the estate of this small winery, where they are indeed proud to be small.

The winery is currently managed by Anna Vidal, the 3rd generation in this winemaker family to own the estate. If she is not abroad promoting her wines, she will be more than glad to welcome you to the property. It will be on the gorgeous veranda of her very own family house that you will be served traditional cuisine in the shape of local hot and cold tapas, paired with their top quality cava.

The winery’s Rabetllat i Vidal cavas and Clot dels Oms wines have been granted more than a hundred awards in very prestigious national and international competitions, including the Best Chardonnay of the World (Chardonnay du Monde) for its 2011 Gran Clot dels Oms Chardonnay.

This was a lovely way to spend the day. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about Barcelona. He was very engaging and friendly. I loved both wineries the food and wine was delicious.

Clara our guide was very good, knowledgeable and funny. She took us to 2 wineries located in beautiful locations, the best is that they were small wineries not the super huge famous ones. One of them is an organinc winery with a long history and a castle, we tasted wines and had tapas then to the second one and we drove thru the Monserrat Mountains so beautiful. On the second winery we tasted Cava, very good too. It was a great tour and the best way to spend an afternoon.

Great, cozzy due to the number of people in the tour... only 7 people, if there was more, it would have been too many. Great tour guide as he was very knowledgeable in both general history and the wine and cava making history as well. Highly recommended.

A small group of us took this journey and it was a lot of fun!The guide was very friendly and personable. The scenery was beautiful,and the food was plentiful and delicious!
