The Sound and Light Show at the Great Pyramids takes place on the Giza plateau, around 30 minutes from Cairo. The one-hour show begins with the illumination of the Sphinx, who narrates the history of the pyramids and their builders.

Using laser beams and light projections on the walls of the Mummification Temple, desert sands, pyramid walls and the Sphinx itself, a condensed story of Egypt unfolds. The accompanying soundtrack complements the surroundings and the voice of the Sphinx is suitably dramatic and mysterious!

After the show your driver/guide will meet you at the gates of the complex to escort you back to your hotel. With your own private transportation on this tour, you will travel directly between your hotel and the Sound and Light Show without stopping to collect other passengers.

This was a fab trip - seeing the pyramids and the Sphynx lit up at night is worth seeing. It only lasts just over 1.5 hrs but that's plenty long enough to get an idea of how the pyramids were created and the history of Egypt.

My husband was skeptical about this tour. He wasnt sure about what we were going to see and if we were even going to see anything at night. He and I were amazed at how incredible this show was. The creativity in projecting onto the pyramids and the interesting storyline to go with it. Bravo!!!!!

We would give it only 2 star......lighting was not that fancy, used very basic tech skills......the show had too much talking, it was basically had a guy talking for 15 - 20 minutes from the loud speakers. no comparison with Disney Land Sound and Light Show at all. this Pyramid one was so not worth to watch! you will be disappointed.

All of our Cairo guides provided through Viator have been wonderful. The main advantage of this tour is easy transportation to and from the light show. Our guide also introduced us to some local food for dinner at a place we never would have found otherwise. Once again, Viator guides were a great way to see Cairo!
