Comfortable transportation, small group though we were still held up by one straggler. I'm not sure what the special Viator welcome room is at the hotel. Planetarium was closed for refurbishment so we requested and received a refund for that portion of the trip. Getting to Chichen Itza early is a must because the site becomes swamped in no time whatsoever.
This tour is given by Mayaland resort tours. We booked this tour to accommodate Ik Kil cenote in the schedule. When we asked the coordinator how to go to Ik Kil, they were not ready to give us transportation of any kind, even though we were ready to pay the taxi and entrance fees as stated in description. Later the coordinators blatantly lied to us saying the cenote is closed for the day. We googled and verified it was not. After some angry conversations they arranged a taxi for us. Transportation and chichen itza tour was alright. But bad experience when it came to handling our requests for Ik Kil. Not worth 110, no other activities apart from Chichen Itza.
Stunning, enjoyable and amazing.....and wow the photo opportunities. Well worth doing early before everyone else. Excellent lunch as well.
This tour was a blast, kinda early departure for a vacation day but turned out to be worth it. The Mayan priest, lunch and departing before the heat got too bad made for a very enjoyable day.
I highly recommend this excursion. We arrived at the Chichen Itza ruins before many of the vendors, other tourists, and extreme heat had arrived. Furthermore, the buffet lunch was delicious with authentic Yucantanean-style cuisine. Out tour guide did an excellent job explaining the ruins and showed a real passion for teaching Mayan history.
