When booking, select either a morning or afternoon tour. Begin your tour with a pickup from your centrally located Cape Town accommodations. Drive about 1.5 hours to Stellenbosch for your wine and cheese tasting.

On the tour your guide shares with you the story of how the South African wine industry came to be. Learn how the foundations were laid by protestant refugees from France who brought finely tuned and centuries-old grape growing and wine making practices. Applying these skills with immediate success in the newly established village of Stellenbosch, they ultimately transformed the region into the center of the present-day South African wine industry.

Afterward, you are taken on a guided tour of the charming town of Stellenbosch before returning to Cape Town.

Let's start out by saying the tour operator and our guide were first rate. The first winery was very nice and they provided lots of info. The second one on the other hand, whose name I won't mention, did not perform near to standard for a winery at all. In fact it was terrible and so was the old wine they served.

Really cool experience! The pick-up process from the designated hotel was on time and well organized. During the ride, the driver gave a mini tour of the suburban areas as we drove through pointing out historic sites and local communities. The wine tour itself was like expected- very informed exhibitors showing off their best products from the vineyards. All in all really smooth experience that was well worth devoting a half day!

Excellent day out with our Guide Paul. We visited Jordans, Anura and Bramptons in the little town. Beautiful scenery and wines were delicious Would definately recomend this tour.

The Tour Guide was really friendly and prompt. The only thing I would suggest is the selection of the wineries. The first winery did not have a diverse selection of wine to sample since, we only got to sample 4 different wines. The Second Winery was beautiful it was called the Miranne and the wine selection was excellent. Overall it was a decent tour for the cost.
