Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep is 15 kilometers from the central city of Chiang Mai. It is suited on the mountain with elevation of 1,050 meters.

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Wat Suan Dok, On Suthep Road, west of the Old City, Chiang Mai 50200 Thailand

Wat Suan Dok is suited in the west of old Chiang Mai. it's consist of small white memorial chedi containing the remains honoring Thai royal family of Chiang Mai.

Stop At: Wat Phra That Chedi Luang, Phaholyothin Road next to the Chiang Saen Museum, Chiang Saen Thailand

What Phra That Chedi Luang consists of an impressive chedi, originally built in 1411. It reached a height of over 85 meters before it was partially destroyed by an earthquake in 1545. It now reach a height of only 60 meters The temple also contains the city pillar.

If you're wearing sandals or flip-flops you must wear socks (in other words, no bare feet.) Women must be similarly modestly dressed. No see-through clothes, bare shoulders, etc. It is also recommended to avoid bright colors.

We thought this would be a short entry to the city and didn’t expect too much...but it was fantastic! Our guide (Games) was amazing and we had a great time!

I had a really good time, the tour guide was perfect. We even had time to speak with some monks :) The temples are beautiful and the guide was explaining thailand culture as well. I really recommend this tour.

We had an excellent tour guide! Went above and beyond to show us temples and explain things. Only down side is the hour trip to Doi Suthep. Wat Chedi Luang and the grounds really nice and it’s not super crowded towards the end of the day.

We arrived in Chiang Mai the previous afternoon. We visited three Wats and had an enjoyable tour.Sunny our guide was very pleasant and knowledgable. He was also very easy to get on with.

The tour guide didnt have much to say, was very quiet and had poor English. It was just me and my sister on this tour and after giving us some brief info he let us walk around freely whilst he waited for us. I felt like I would have liked a bit more background info. Pick up and drop off were on time. The driver managed the conditions on the mountain fine but drove a bit fast at times. The sites themselves were good but explanations were very brief.
