Great tour of Chicago South Side! Our tour guide/driver (Joshua) was very knowledgeable about Chicago history. He was upbeat and entertaining. We got to see many places while riding on the bus and the driver slowed down so we could take pictures. You don’t get off the bus much on this tour, but at one of the tour stops our driver/guide let us get off the bus to buy a “famous” Chicago hot dog. Yummy! We did not go on the River Cruise but we really enjoyed the 2-hour Chicago South Side Tour. Tip: The tour does not start at 17 E Monroe Street (Palmer House Hilton Hotel). Gray Line changed the tour start location and you must now board the bus at the Gray Line Office. You can get directions to Gray Line from the Palmer House Concierge.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable but his pattern of speech was hard to understand. He spoke in an uneven cadence, and also too fast.

It was fun and educational but the river cruise was too long. It wasn't exactly what I expected but I did learn a lot. But the river cruise was too long but it might have felt longer because our 11 mo old baby was very fussy. On the bus tour we got a glance at Obama's house, A house that came out in Ferris Bueller, some great views of the city by either the aquarium or the planetarium.

It was wonderful! Your tour through the blue-green waters of its canals (yes, like Venice but wide) with skyscrapers soaring up all around us was nothing short of magnificent.

There were four of us, and we all totally enjoyed the trip. The driver was very informative and really knew what he was talking about. We're looking forward to another tour.

Guide was very knowledgeable, spoke a little too fast at times but well worth it.
