Enjoy complimentary hotel pick-up at your Hoi An hotel and transfer to Cam Thanh Village by via mini-van. Upon arrival, hop in a buffalo-pulled cart and pass by local farming villages and check out their rice fields. Cold soft drinks and beers can be enjoyed on board while on your ride. Spend time with a local farming family while enjoying your refreshment and they will share their stories of farming life - you will also get a chance to feed and water down your Vietnamese bovine companion. Learn about the water buffalo, the story of rice and how to cook rice and enjoying a rice meal the authentic Vietnamese way. Afterwards, return to your hotel.

Great fun. The tour is short 1.5 - 2 hours so half day is a bit misleading but this is well worth doing nonetheless. Our tour guide was excellent. Energetic, engaging and knowledgeable - she made the experience that bit more special. You get to try a nice dish in a traditional home at the end of the ride too. I would recommend renting a bike/scooter afterwards and going back to the paddy fields for a longer ride around - it is well worth it and there are places nearby where you can pick up a bike.
