Stop At: Hue Imperial City (The Citadel), Hue Vietnam

We will pick you up at hotel in Hue.

Start your Hue city tour with a visit into the streets and wander over to the Citadel. It's within these two metre-thick and 10 kilometre-long walls that you'll find several of the city's best sites, from the many ornate pagodas to the Forbidden Purple City.

Afterward, stop at a local tea house to taste some of the best Vietnamese flavoured green teas, and learn more about traditional art tea served with some authentic snacks such as sweetened lotus seeds and green bean cake.

Enjoy a traditional meal and have the chance to chat with the monks to learn more about Buddhism and gain an insight into their daily lives.

Stop At: Vong Canh Hill, 102 Huyền Trân Công Chúa, Thủy Biều, Thành phố Huế, Thừa Thiên Huế, Vietnam

Passing a village that specialises in making incense stick and conical hat and stop at Vong canh hill with American bunkers to take photos.

Stop At: Tomb of Tu Duc, Tay Nhat Hamlet, An Cuu Village, Hue 530000 Vietnam

Visit one of the impressive emperor's tombs.

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Thien Mu Pagoda, Kim Long Road, Hue Vietnam

We'll then pay a visit to Thien Mu Pagoda, a sprawling temple complex that is perched on a hill overlooking the Perfume River.

After a day taking in the many sights, end it with a relaxing afternoon cruise along the Perfume River. Take in the magic of this meandering river before ending ourHue tour back in the centre of the city.

Stop At: Dong Ba Market, Tran Hung Dao St., Hue Vietnam

Visit the colourful Dong Ba market, which will energise your senses with its sights, sounds, and smells. This is the ideal place to soak up everyday Vietnamese life, and your local guide will show you to some of the traditional foods, and introduce you to the local vendors.

An excellent day tour taking in many of the historic sites in and around Hue. The tour included a traditional Vietnamese lunch which was delicious. The tour guide was very informative and was happy to travel at our pace. The cruise on the Perfume river was not quite as expected as the boat was fairly basic with a very loud Diesel engine, but fun nonetheless.

If you want to learn Vietnams history - do this tour. We were staying at the La Residence, OMG best hotel eva. This tour is a long and hot one, so take water. I personally loved this tour as it explained everything that I had done in high school about this gorgeous country. Did you know Asian Elephants are smaller then African's? Their royal family and culture, between Chinese and them. Hope you have a great tour guide like we did. Sorry can't remember her name, but extremely knowledgable.

Hue is a haunted city with a dark and tragic past. Our guide, Von Ho, tempered this awareness with terrific wit and a wry charm. It was an absolute pleasure sharing in her pride of Hue and its people while touring the sites she shared. Highly recommended.
