Your driver will pick you up in an air-conditioned car from your hotel in Jaipur. Enjoy the view of the surrounding landscape on the 45 minute drive to reach Samode Village. Formely a royal principality, Samode sits amidst the hills of the Aravalli range located 25 miles from Jaipur in the western Indian state of Rajasthan. After reaching Samode Village, experience rural life of Rajasthan and take a camel ride through Samode alleys.

After the camel ride, you will visit Samode Palace in all of it's royal beauty, and then have a delicious royal lunch. After lunch you will be driven back to Jaipur where you will be dropped at your hotel.

We are so glad we didn't skip on this tour and took our chance booking something outside of the city. The whole thing was outstanding: friendliest and knowledgeable guides, beautiful palace which I personally liked more than the ones in Jaipur, top notch service, lunch in garden setting, camel ride to the summer residence, etc. - everything was so memorable. Yes, you will be offered to buy local arts and crafts, but that is expected and no one was really pushy. Just remember to tip your helpers and they will go not just one but few extra miles for you. This is what they make living on and are genuinely thankful for everything.
