Our tour guide nearly speak Eanglish All the times me or somebody else ask something about the place's history, he just answered " I explaine later", however the answer we never had. He never waited for the group, it was like if you follow me it is fine, but if you can't go as fast as me, I leave you back. It was a disappointed experience for me and my daughter. This company takes too long in changing vans to buses, it reduces lots time of the day. Also, most of the guides are not nice with cluents. If you want to enjoy your tour, choose another tour comphany.
No guide as was advertised, no tour of Jericho, no mention even made of it. The time at both Masada and Ein Gedi is too short to warrant the cost of entrance. Only the Dead Sea part was done properly. Don't waste your money.
We had a great day, in spite of our bus driver and the fact that the tour was not as advertised. We had 4 people in our group, yet the bus driver only had us down for 2 people. I showed him my confirmation, but he still did not believe me. He made me talk on the phone to a woman in his office who said all 4 of us could go, but she'd have to charge us for 2 additional people. I gave her my confirmation number and told her I already paid for 4 people. She said she would call Viator to confirm, and I guess they set her straight, because I never received an additional charge. Once we were on our way, the bus driver began to tell us all about the places we would visit. He never mentioned Jericho the main reason I booked this tour instead of another Dead Sea/Masada trip, so at our first stop I asked him about it. He said we wouldn't have time to go to Jericho. Again, I showed him my confirmation which clearly says a guided tour of Jericho is part of this trip. Instead, we went to the Jordan River to a baptismal place and also made a brief stop at the Ahava skin care products factory. Jericho would have been MUCH more interesting! Aside from not getting to go to Jericho, we had a lovely day. Just know that if you book this tour, Jericho is probably not going to happen.
Unfortunately, the details described where not all included in the day ie. we did not even go to Jericho and the day was an 8 hour day not 12 as advertised. We had a 'bus driver' who told us very little and there was no tour guide for any of the sites. We were rushed from location to location and the whole experience with this operator was not good. On the good side: Viator was amazing. I shared with them my experience. They took it very seriously and worked on my behalf to have me compensated for the experience. I will definitely keep booking through Viator had two other experiences with operators on this same trip that were amazing!
The guide was not exactly friendly as we were Asians and he was 20 minutes late to pick us from the departure point. As there were only 6 of us, the guide only drove a small mini-van, which was kind of cramp. There was a/c but the guide did not want to turn on as it was winter. But he failed to realize that it was stuffy at the rear. Along the way, the guide provided commentary but it was hardly audible as there was no microphone in the van. He seemed to be talking to the front passengers only. Masada is definitely a spectacular site that one has to visit and the same goes for Ein Gedi. The cable car ride up the plateau was over-priced for just a 6-minute ride - 74 shekels per pax. Dead Sea was fun and enjoyable. The trip to Jericho could have been better organized. It was too short. Basically, it was just a drive through and was done in less than 10 minutes. The group paid for the optional entrance fees to the Old City, which was not really worth the money.
