Half Day Floating Village Jeep Tour from Siem Reap

You will be picked up from your accommodation in Siem Reap at 8 am and head out of town towards the largest floating village of Cambodia, Kampong Kleang. During the dry season, you will drive with your jeep between the stilts on which the houses are built, rising up to 10 meters in the air. In the wet season, the water level reaches its peak and can rise up to 1 or 2 meters above the building floors.

We will swap our jeep for a small boat for a cruise out into the village and we will have the chance to meet the friendly locals. Next, we proceed to the Vietnamese floating village. This village is unlike the rest of Kompong Khleang. The Vietnamese Village is not composed of stilt houses. The houses there are built on floating objects that keep them afloat on the Tonlé Sap. The village moves along the river and sometimes up to the lake depending on the season. They have a floating school, a hospital, local shops, and even a floating hairdresser.

After our exploration of the floating village, we will return to Siem Reap and your accommodation passing through some small villages along the way.
