Your tour will begin at 3:30pm, when you will be picked up from your hotel or guesthouse in an air-conditioned vehicle. Your friendly and knowledgeable English-speaking tour guide will transport you to Chong Khneas which is about 20 minutes away.
On the way to Chong Khneas, you will pass by rice paddies and lotus fields where you will have the opportunity to stop and take photographs of the lotus flowers.
Upon arrival, you will transfer to a mini Tara boat that will be driven by an experienced driver. Once on the water, you will stop at the Crocodile and Fish Farm where you will learn about some of the trades that people engage in on the lake. There is also a souvenir shop to purchase gifts as well as a viewing deck where you can take photos.
Next your boat will transport you to the famous Queen Tara in the heart of the floating village. Here, you will feast on a delicious buffet dinner and all inclusive drinks. You can either relax on our plentiful hammocks or step onto the viewing deck. If the weather is good, you will have a perfect vantage point for a gorgeous sunset. Even if there isn’t a sunset, the magnificent and unique cloud linings that form above the great lake are always a spectacle to behold.
At approximately 6:45pm you’ll leave the Queen Tara and head back to the port at Chong Khneas where your air-conditioned vehicle will be waiting to transport you directly to your hotel or guesthouse.

The guide explain the details.. nothing much to see on the floating village aside from the crocodile.. it was like 40min on boat to reach the floating village.. the dinner buffer was simply and there are like few of us in the big boat , feel like private boat dinner buffet.. good place to see sunset. overall is good..
Not many people at this time of year so it was almost a private tour. Fun to see the lake and floating homes. The fish and crocodile farm was not much to see. Dinner on the big boat was very relaxing and the sun set was beautiful.
The sunset views were gorgeous. Everything else was so-so but the views made it worth doing.
This is exactly the tour as described. Luxury? No. But great value. The guide was informative and nice. The dinner was relaxing and picturesque. The food was pretty tasty as well. I like the Khmer food, but if you aren't partial to it, there were also French fries, fried rice and fruit you aren't going to go hungry. The lotus nursery is pretty for pictures a short stop, the boat ride is an interesting view into the floating village, the crocodile farm is amusing.
Although the pick-up was disconcertingly half an hour late and we were trying to telephone to find out what was happening, everything went perfectly from then on. Our guide had good spoken English and was very attentive and informative the tour was very picturesque and interesting, and its pace was pleasantly unhurried and the sunset meal was a delight. On our return, we got our guide to drop us at the corner of Pub Street, where we were in nice time to find a seat on the Temple Club balcony for the free Apsara dance show.
