Hanamikoji Street is the main Gion street, where you can see the traditional Kyoto style houses that are used as shops and restaurants. We may get to see Maiko or Geisha during our tour!

Stop At: Kennin-ji Temple, 584 Yamatooji Yojo-sagaru Komatsucho, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto 605-0933 Kyoto Prefecture
This oldest Zen temple in Kyoto gets fewer tourists, but their garden is absolutely beautiful. It is so quiet there and the lighting is gorgeous in the very early morning.

Shirakawakoji Street used to be a street that had many geisha houses. The old looks are still preserved and it is a very popular spot for pre-wedding shoots.

One of the most visited shrines in Kyoto, this shrine has many different gods being worshipped. For good luck, wealth, marriage, health etc, this place is considered the sacred spot in Gion.

Built more than 100 years ago, it maintains the beautiful Japanese garden. There are many cherry blossom trees all over the park, and it is the most popular picnic place during Sakura season.

Stop At: Nenenokomichi, 530 Shimokawaramachi Kodaiji Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto 605-0017 Kyoto Prefecture
Named after the wife of the famous Shogun Hideyoshi Toyotomi, Nene influenced him as a wife to climb up to the top in Japan society. Nene became a nun after the death of Hideyoshi and built Kodaiji Temple to worship him. Nenenokomichi is a path to the temple, with beautiful sceneries with nature.

Stop At: Hokan-ji Temple Yasaka no To, 388 Yasakakamimachi Yasakadori Shimogawara Higashi Iru, Higashiyama, Kyoto 605-082 Kyoto Prefecture
The symbol of Higashiyma District, Yasaka Pagoda is something you cannot miss. It is probably one of the best photo spot alongside Fushimi Inari Shirine that showcase the real Kyoto.

Kai was our photographer and took the most beautiful photos of a friend and I. Words can't express our gratitude in having the most awesome guide and photographer who was patient and kind. We purchased Yukatas and were traditionally dressed for this which made it that much more special.
