Tur till Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park och ön Miyajima från Kyoto

Denna 12 timmar långa tur börjar med upphämtning på morgonen vid hotellet New Miyako Hotel. Transfer till Kyoto-stationen, där du kliver ombord på snabbtåget för en fin tur till Hiroshima-stationen. Guiden berättar om en del av Hiroshimas mest fascinerande historiska platser medan ni susar fram längs järnvägsspåret.
När du anländer till stationen byter du till ett annat tåg eller går ombord på en buss och åker till Miyajimaguchi, där du byter till en båt till Miyajima, som sedan antikens dagar har kallats för den heliga ön och som har ett av Japans vackraste landskap. Utforska ön under 45 minuter, medan guiden berättar historien bakom öns ikoniska röda helgedom Itsukushima, som upptagits på UNESCO:s världsarvslista och som verkar flyta på vattnet under högvatten.
Efter lunch (på egen bekostnad) kliver du ombord på båten och åker tillbaka till Hiroshima för att besöka Fredsmonumentet i Hiroshima, en plats som finns med på UNESCO:s världsarvslista och som ligger i närheten av den plats där atombomben slog ned. Besök Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, med utställningar om atombomben och Hiroshimas beundransvärda återhämtning.
Du kan åka buss eller tåg till den sista anhalten, Genbaku Dome (atombombsdomen eller Fredsmonumentet i Hiroshima), som är en av de få byggnader som stod kvar efter bombningen 1945. Därifrån åker du tillbaka till Hiroshima-stationen för att ta snabbtåget som tar två timmar tillbaka till Kyoto-stationen, där turen avslutas.

This was a truly amazing experience. Every stop allowed us enough time to do what we wanted, and see everything. The guide was very nice and knowledgeable. The tour it’s self was impactful. It was extremely emotional, and educational to be at the site of something you have always read about in history books. Reading people’s stories was heartbreaking.

This tour was very well run and organized, and allowed us to experience two very different locations in Hiroshima. The Miyajima Island tour was a great start to the day with a lovely ferry ride and exploration of the island and the shrine. The afternoon was a somber experience of the horrifying events of the A bomb. This experience was very emotional for me, but so well presented with excellent discussion both from our guide and from the peace park museum. Highly encourage all to attend.

Wow! The tour was well organized and tour guide was excellent. Highly recommend this one day tour. We felt safe in the bus. Bus was clean and driver was punctual. Guide kept us in a group at all times. No delays along the way.

Some confusion at the meeting hotel when we arrived early, there was a small desk that said tours with no one there and the hotel staff was not sure. It would have been nice to have a sign on that desk with our tour Please wait here, until the hostess arrived. Otherwise, AMAZING, well organized. We were a varied group, some of us going as a day trip from Kyoto, some spending the night in Hiroshima. It made the tour interesting speaking with others who had many different experiences in Japan. A small group tour, they walk you to the bullet train and put you on the correct car with your return tickets inc. The scenic train ride feels like a private tour. An enthusiastic, professional hostess with perfect English met us at our train car. Our small tour bus grateful for AC during the heat wave of summer slowly passed old Castles and other sites, while our knowledgeable hostess told stories of history and culture. Taking the ferry to Miyajima she guided us where to stand to get the best views and well as tips for food and shopping during our free time after the tour of the beautiful shrine. After lunch own expense we ferried back to Hiroshima Peace Dome, memorial , childrens memorial and museum, all a profound experience of what never to allow again. Our experienced guide was one of the best we've ever had. This tour was a highlight of our incredible visit to Japan.

We very much appreciated our day trip from Kyoto of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and Miyajima Island. The arrangements were all well executed, the guide in Hiroshima was very informative and helpful, and the overall tour well organized. My only complaint might be that there was not enough time at the museum in the memorial park, but given all that we had to cover I don't think it could have been extended. It was a long day, but well worth it!

This is a worthwhile day trip from Kyoto, somewhat impaired by the guide's inattention to her audience. Island and shrine was more interesting than I anticipated and atom bomb site was fascinating. Good logistics in pickup, train, and drop-off every step of the way. Unfortunately, the guide--who seemed nice and knowledgable--seemed not to know how to use the microphone/speaker system affixed to her and oblivious to the fact that many people couldn't hear her much of the time as she faced away from her audience.

Amazing tour. Couldn't fault anything. Nobu, our guide was wonderful. So alloquant and poised when talking about the bomb that destroyed hiroshima. A must when visiting japan.
