Meet your private guide in the lobby of your Medellin hotel at the predetermined meeting time. Then, head to "Los Olivos", the neighborhood where Pablo Escobar, one of the most well-known Colombian drug lords, was murdered. Visit the Monaco's building where you will admire its elegant marble front. This building used to hold the art collection, cars and other eccentric possessions. This building is now being watched by the local authorities.

See the most exclusive cemetery of the city, where the infamous criminal's tomb is located, Jardines de Montesacro. People often visit his tomb and write messages for him. The tour will conclude with a visit to the Pablo Escobar neighborhood, Barrio Pablo Escobar. The neighborhood includes 800 houses and a church donated by Pablo, home to 16,000 people who used to live in a dumpster back in 1982. This project was called “Medellín sin tugurios”. End your tour with a transfer back to your accommodations.

Absolutely amazing day! They were so flexible - picked us up in Guatape and gave us a tour of the less touristy areas there in the morning absolutely gorgeous place by the way! Then customized the tour to see where Pablo Escobar was killed, the graffiti tour in Comuna 13 which was super interesting, gave us an appreciation of Botero art, he took us on the metrocable to get an incredible view of the city and inner streets and even took us to a delicious Colombian lunch. We learned so much about Medellin history, politics and really have a new appreciation of the country. Our kids of 16 and 18 got such an education. LOVED this tour!!!

Great tour! Enthusiastic and knowledgeable local guide! I highly recommend the private tour if you have a group of 3-4. More flexibility and bang for your buck! The tour lasted for a solid 3 hours and we started with a nice coffee to go from a local coffee shop in El Poblado. The tour brings you to various relevant locations in and around Medellin.

For a first timer in Colombia, this tour was great! Mauricio was great and gave us a relaxing drive all around Medellin. He also was able to recommend his graffiti tour for us later, and then referred us to some great tour guides in Bogota!

Had a great time on the tour. Guide was very personable and informative. Wish there was more walking included on the tour, most of the time spent in the car
