Välkommen till Brooklyn, det coolaste, mest dynamiska distriktet i Big Apple. Brooklyn är inte bara ett centrum för allt som är hippt och småskaligt. Det råkar också vara en av de bästa platserna för mat i landet just nu, där trender som närproducerad mat och råvaror direkt från bonden har fått fäste tidigt.
Den här guidade halvdagsturen med fokus på kultur och mat slingrar sig genom Brooklyn och tar dig till både de hippa delarna och de matställen bortom allfartsvägarna som du skulle ha svårt att hitta till på egen hand.
Din resa inleds i historiska West Village, där några av stadens mest inflytelserika personer bor och har bott. Tillsammans med din kunniga, matgalna New York-guide hoppar du sedan in i den luftkonditionerade bussen och beger dig över Williamsburg Bridge.
Res runt i den ultraortodoxa hassidiska judiska delen av Williamsburg, där familjer promenerar på de livliga gatorna, som ser ut som om inget har förändrats på flera generationer. Sedan kommer du fram till hipsterdelen av stadsdelen. Williamsburg är en av de bästa stadsdelarna när det gäller mat, med tredje vågens kafferostningsapparater och högklassiga "direkt från bonden"-restauranger vägg i vägg. Unna dig en bit napolitansk pizza eller en cannoli innan du går vidare till Greenpoint alldeles i närheten.

Prova några läckra sötsaker på Jacques Torres chokladfabrik och promenera sedan bort kalorierna i den nyligen rekonstruerade Brooklyn Bridge Park (se till att du tar med dig kameran, för utsikten över Manhattans silhuett är otrolig).

The Brooklyn half day food tour was phenomenal. The tour guide, Laurie, was knowledgeable, entertaining and very excited to share her food knowledge. The food was delicious and I would highly recommend this tour.

This tour was absolutely incredible! Our guide Laurie was amazing and provided great details and history on the area as we drove around. She was also very helpful in recommending things to do while visiting New York. The food was incredible at all the places and the diversity of the cuisines was intriguing. At the end of the tour, we were given the option to walk over the Brooklyn Bridge rather than being driven back to the meeting point, which we chose to do- I highly recommend it as it is a great way to see the city. I cannot recommend this tour and our guide Laurie more highly!

Laurie was a wonderful tour guide. She knew so much about Brooklyn and we got to see a lot of the borough. Wasn't a fan of the last two stops. Don't need two desserts. Rest of the food was great!

Great 1/2 day tour! So organized. They sent reminder texts and called. Laurie was amazing. She was professional, knowledgeable and extremely personable. The food stops were delicious and we learned so much about Brooklyn! Definitely worth it!

We enjoyed our guide Rick and driver Jerome. Yummy stops with history to go with the food and restaurants. Other notable sites were pointed out. Highly recommend it for a great afternoon.

For Father's Day, I booked the Food and Cultural Tour of Brooklyn for my family. Rick was our tour guide and Carlos was our driver. The weather was threatening so it was a relief to be in a luxury bus for the tour. Very little walking required, although we could have used it given the amount of food we ate. Rick's knowledge of Brooklyn was beyond compare. I found it all facinating, and he was an absolute pleasure. The food stops included a meatball, falafel, pierogies and kielbasa, cannoli, chocolates, pizza and more. All the best of their neighborhoods. It was a great day. Could not recommend it enough. Thank you Rick and Carlos for such a great day.

Mr Rick (tour guide) and Mr Jerome (bus driver) truly showed us the best of Brooklyn’s food culture! Safe and comfortable bus transportation. Loved how Mr Rick gave us the history backgrounds of the neighborhoods and food culture. So much food is provided to taste. Thank you Oasis, Table 87, Krolewskie Jadlo, Monteleone Bakery and Jacques Torres for your hospitality and great tasting food and desserts! Highly recommend this tour and these 4 places! Also Appreciated the communication with the tour company. They really made sure we were properly informed with the pick up time, place and tour guide. Love Brooklyn!

Everything about this tour was terrific. Our guide, Laurie, was kind, funny, and knowledgeable. The food was excellent--and there was so much of it. Plan to skip dinner following the tour--you'll be stuffed. A real plus was seeing how much my adult son enjoyed the tour. He moved to Brooklyn a month ago and really wants to get to know the place better. I noticed that he bookmarked in Yelp all the places Laurie mentioned so that he can visit them with friends. Foods of NY Yours and Laurie, many thanks for a super day.
