Have a rest from long exciting city tours and engage yourself with the creative process! Take advantage of the painting class and let yourself create your own Russian souvenir. Perfect for families with kids! This class is very easily combined with any sightseeing day, it's a perfect break to keep your kids happy and entertained.

The painting class takes place in the artboutique Matryoshka located in the heart of the Vasilievsky island. Please note, that this tour is offered with various options - 'Painting class only' includes the professional artist's time for 2 hours, English-speaking interpreter's services, blank matryoshka-dolls (one per person), acrylic paint and all other necessary items for the process. Another option includes roundtrip transportation from your hotel to make your feel comfortable and stress-free during this unique activity.

Schedule the tour for the first part of the day, so when you are finished with the dolls, you can let them dry for a couple of hours (while you're enjoying the rest of your tour). Towards the end of the tour day, families usually stop by to pick up their creations. If you have several days in the city, it's possible to schedule this class for the evening, and let the dolls dry for the night (you pick them up next morning). Of course, if you want you can pick the dolls with you right away, but it's recommended to let them dry.

Please send your passport details to the supplier (full name, birthdate, passport number, citizenship) as soon as you accomplish your booking.

Something to appeal to artists and non-artists alike. Our group of 5 were the only painters which made for a casual enjoyable experience where artistic expressions could flourish and others could learn about the doll tradition. There is a nice little café serving coffee and cakes attached to the studio so you can take a break while the varnish dries and enjoy some tasty treats.
