Om den här aktiviteten
Leave the Tenerife port by private air-conditioned minibus, and travel to Teide National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site that surrounds Mt Teide, a volcano located at the heart of the island. One of Spain’s tallest volcanoes at 12,198 feet (3,718 meters), Mt Teide makes for an impressive visit, and its views over the island are incredible.
Gaze out of the window as you listen to your guide's commentary during the drive through La Esperanza, an area made up of volcanic lava. After traveling to a height of around 7,776 feet (2,370 meters), stop for photos and soak up the views. If you want to continue to the summit, take a ride on the cable car (own expense) and ascend on your own to discover panoramas that stretch over the whole island.
Leaving the volcano in the early afternoon, make the journey to an alpine-esque area of the park known as Las Cañadas. Walk around the trails with your private guide and marvel at the landscape, with its rivers of petrified lava and eroded rock formations, broken up by colorful wild flowers. Hear how the area is used as a filming set for TV commercials and movies such as the 2010 Clash of the Titans, and learn how the area has become one of Tenerife’s top visitor attractions.
Later, return to your minibus and travel back to the Tenerife port where your shore excursion finishes with drop-off by your guide.

Our guide Jurgen was on time at our cruise port and provided us with a wonderful private tour up to Mt Tiede! His professionalism and knowledge was amazing! He even took us to a local restaurant at our request to have dinner. Thank you Jurgen!! Highly recommended!!
Tour involved the area around the volcanic area of the island. The guide made sure that we had access to English based presentations which explained the history and significance of the area. He offered additional comments on what we were seeing and how it related to the background information we had received at the park information center.
First of all, the tour operator that met us in the port was so in a hurry to accommodate an overbooked excursion. He did not explain why the Teide National Park trip was cancelled. We were passed on to a taxi driver that was nice and friendly but unable to speak English enough to explain why the trip was cancelled let alone give us a decent tour around town. Our co-cruise passengers said they were taken to the Teide National park by their guide by other operators, that means it was not closed. We were not given a choice not to take the alternative tour for a refund. This is not a shore excursion nor a guided trip, it’s purely a taxi ride around town. We paid more than $250 for 2 people which our co-cruiser paid $80 for 4 people for the same itinerary. We have used Viator for a long time and was Happy although this will leave a “bad taste” in the mouth.
Great trip
Had a very knowledgeable tour guide.
The scenery was beautiful, but our guide was just OK. She did not pass on as much knowledge as other guides we've had. Still worth doing to see the scenery.
This place is beautiful and I was mesmerized the whole day. My tour guide, Angel, was waiting for us when we disembarked the ship and our day could not have gone any better than it did. Angel was so kind and informative. I am disabled and was traveling with my 82 year old mother and he took really good care of us. I was on a three week vacation and this by far was my favorite part of the entire trip. Thanks Angel!!!
We were met right outside the ship in the pouring rain by our driver and guide. We then had to take a shuttle from the ship to the city center where the driver fetched the mini-van. The driver informed us that the north roads into Teide National Park were closed due to snow and ice, so we drove down the east coast of the island to the south road, but unfortunately that road was also closed. So there would be no visiting Mt Teide or Las Canadas for us. The driver then decided instead to take us to Masca, a picturesque village on the west side of Tenerife, but that road was also closed. So he took us to the cliffs at Los Gigantes. They were very lovely, but I didnt get out of the min-van due to the pouring down rain. At that point, I asked if we could just keep going around to the north shore of Tenerife so we could just do a complete circle tour of the island. We ended up making a stop at Puerto De La Cruz, and since it wasnt raining in that town, we got out of the mini-van and walked around. The guide showed us a black sand beach, an old castle, typical canary island houses etc before continuing on back to Santa Cruz, where it was of course still raining. We made a quick stop by the cathedral in Santa Cruz, which unfortunately is closed in the afternoons. Our guide would have continued to show us more of Santa Cruz, but by that time it was nearing 3:00 and we needed to be back on the ship by 3:30. After waiting in line for the shuttle, we made it back to our ship right before 3:30, so there was a chance we would have been late had my husband not spoken up and said it was time to get back to the ship. I will say it was supposed to be a 6 hour tour and we got 7 hours. The guides have no control over the weather and were really trying to make the most of a very wet day. I am not sure what the cruise ship shore excursion to Mt Teide ended up doing, but despite being disappointed we didnt get to see Mt Teide, we had a very nice circle tour of Tenerife!
