Rundturen börjar med Jade Buddha-templet. Byggdes under Guangxu-perioden av Quing-dynastin (år 1875–1909). Den innehåller en ovärderlig samling jadestatyer från Burma. Templet är konstruerat i den magnifika arkitektoniska stilen från Song-dynastin. För närvarande inhyses Shanghai Buddhist Institute i templet.
Nästa anhalt är galleriet för färskvattenpärlor. Du får se pärlodlingsprocessen och kan bli den lyckliga deltagaren som visas en enskild pärla.
Folkets torg ligger mitt i staden och är ett stort grönområde som omges av stora byggnader på alla sidor. Här har du möjlighet att mata duvor och be en bön för världsfreden. Shanghai Museum är en av rundturens höjdpunkter. Museets design ligger i linje med Feng Shui-principerna. Det rymmer en stor permanent samling och flera olika utställningar med över 120 000 föremål som visar 5 000 år av Kinas historia. Vi rekommenderar att du hyr en audioguide (5 USD) för att få ut det mesta möjliga av ditt besök på 1,5 timme.
Efter lunch besöker du den förtrollande Yuyuan-trädgården och Shanghais gamla affärsgata. Trädgården innehåller många hallar, vattenkällor och andra byggnader som är av intresse. Besöket tar dig tillbaka till Ming-dynastin (år 1368–1644).
Fortsätt till Bund vid Shanghais flodstrand. Bund är Shanghais mest berömda landmärke och en symbol för det gamla och det nya Shanghai. Det är fyra kilometer långt och har länge varit ett av de viktigaste områdena i Shanghai. På 1930-talet var Bund stadens finansiella och kommersiella centrum.
I sidenfabriken får du se hur kinesiskt siden har tillverkats sedan 1300-talet. Det finns också möjlighet att köpa siden till låga priser. Efter en tur längs de franska kvarteren, som kännetecknas av vackra, trädkantade gator, kan du vandra genom Shanghais hetaste nya nöjeskvarter, Xin Tian Di. Tegelbyggnaderna i dessa kvarterhar behållits och omvandlats till trendiga klubbar, restauranger och butiker.

Very good This tour is a great option to know about some of the main tourist points of Shanghai. The lunch is included in the package of the tour. I was picked up at the hotel in a car with conditioned air, it guides and driver, and at the end of the tour I had the option of to return to the hotel or to leave in the last point of the tour. This was a good option to know Shanghai faster and with information of the places by the guide.

We had a nice tour of Shanghai - it was very crowded and we had a nice visit to see the sights. Thankfully, the bus was air conditioned as it was quite hot. We saw everything we wished to see as described when we booked.

Excellent pick up, drop off and logistics and timing in comfortable large minibus. Tour guide Frank was very nice. Not super on history and pearl and silk factories were sales oriented but many like that though I more wanted history.

Not sure what was more boring the tour or the tour guide Frank. He never asked our names and did nothing to keep the group together. We actually went the tour early.

Unsatisfactory. I had a bad experience on the river tour with the same guide Frank the night before and I thought it might have been a bad day for him, but on the city tour was the same. always walking alone and did not worry that all the members of the group were with him. he answered the questions impolitely. during the tour he ran out of his mobile phone's battery and could not communicate with the driver so he could find us. We waited alone in a corner while he went to look for the driver through the streets while carrying the cell phone with the external battery of one of the participants. very unprofessional about the places visited, we spent less than an hour in the museum, which was quite large and had many beautiful things to see. the temple was ok, the pearl and silk factory stops, too long and the vendors too insistent almost a waste of time. lunch quite poor. the stop in the garden was the best of the day.

My tour ended up being a private tour, including a guide, driver and lunch. The tour guide was very flexible to what my interests were and how much time I wished to stay at each attraction. I think that receiving a truly private tour may be a bit rare, but as I was in the offseason January, it was great timing. I'd highly recommend!
