On this 3 to 5 hour whale watching adventure, take advantage of the opportunity to view several different species of whales in the wild as well as an assortment of sea birds and other species of marine wildlife from Downtown Vancouver. This tour departs from the Westin Bayshore Hotel in the heart of the city of Vancouver, located within walking distance from all major hotels in the area.

Travel in comfort and ease aboard a 62-foot, purpose-built, whale-watching vessel, designed to minimize the ecological footprint without reducing performance. Settle inside or outside, choosing from one of three different viewing areas on two distinct elevations or move about the vessel freely to experience them all.

Fall in love with the beauty of the Gulf Islands, San Juan Islands, and Howe Sound regions of British Columbia. Along the way, the expert crew will educate and share their stories and knowledge about the history of the area, industry fun facts, and of course, the marine wildlife.

Our boat was big enough to hold lots of people and we met folks from all over. It took a while to get to whale territory but we found a killer whale pod ( with baby ) and adults and at one point the whales approached us so we got great shots. It was a fun time and the crew gave us a lot of great information on whale behaviour. Well worth the trip

Our half-day whale watching experience was a great success. Out boat comfortably held the # of people on board; there were seats on top deck with excellent views and all around the back of the boat as well as seating in the enclosed window area shielded fr wind. AND two bathrooms AND hot chocolate! We saw numerous groups of orcas! Excellent crew w/ so much information. So exciting!

This was great fun! It was a little cold (even in June) so make sure you bring appropriate gear. Aurora, our guide (downstairs) was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable about the whales (I believe she is a marine biologist). If you have kiddos, you might consider bringing a few extra snacks and drinks. Definitely bring your binoculars!

It was a big pleasure to be whale watching on the Prince of Whales with Tim and the rest of the crew. Good explanations, two species of whales found Killer whales and Humpback whales. Time well spent with the whole family.

We had a wonderful morning on our whale watch adventure. They were on top of everything keeping us constantly informed and pointed out many points of interest. The guides were very well educated on the area. Our tour went beyond our time scheduled to take us farther south than expected to view a sighted humpback whale. It was a moment I will never forget!! We had a beautiful morning!! The only suggestion that I have is some kind of speaker system on the boat as it was hard to hear the guides at times. Our guide was losing her voice.

Our tour was delayed from 8:30 to the afternoon tour, because of rain. That ended up being better, we were the only boat out there. We saw lots of Orca, they even surprised us while watching some off in the distance, 3 Orca came up right beside our boat. It was fantastic.

Fantastic trip. Saw a pod of Orca Whales including a cow and calf. The knowledge of the crew was impressive and interesting. Definitely a trip worth taking. Advise to take a good camera to benefit from the experience it outstanding.

What a day! The girls that checked us in were very helpful and pleasant. They even reminded us to get food to take on the trip! Cody explained the safety rules and was very helpful telling us where we were along the trip and explained what wildlife we were seeing. We got to see harbor seals, sea lions, huge walrus. The we happened upon 6 Orca whales going up the coastline! The were swimming along and eventually went into the middle of the ocean and had a feeding frenzy! It was amazing! The we saw Mama Humpback whale and her baby! The sun was shining and it was a Beautiful day! I would definitely recommend The Prince of Whales! The boat had seats inside and out and you were somewhat protected from the environment.
