This festive walking tour begins when you make your way to St. Stephen's Square . Greet your professional guide and the rest of your small group, and set off on foot to walk past some of Vienna's most important landmarks. Ask your guide plenty of questions; the small group size of no more than twelve ensures personal service.

Follow the smell of gingerbread and spiced wine to three of the city's most impressive Christmas markets. Soak in the cozy, romantic atmosphere at the traditional markets at Town Hall Square, Charles Square, and Belvedere Palace. Hear stories about Austrian Christmas traditions, and have the opportunity to purchase a snack and a mug of traditional hot punch.

As you walk between each of the three markets, pass historic sights like St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Hofburg Palace, the Imperial Treasury and the Parliament building. Stop for photos in front of the Vienna State Opera.

The tour ends at Art Advent Karlsplatz Christmas market; where you can continue to enjoy the colorful atmosphere, traditional Austrian food, and mulled wine as you browse the stalls of handicraft items and vintage-style Christmas decorations.

We thoroughly enjoyed this trip on our first day. WE WERE VERY LUCKY as 2 people cancelled and the guide continued kindly with us like a private tour! We had a brief look at the cathedral while waiting for the others who never came. We then enjoyed a walking tour in the sun, but chilly! a great introduction to the city centre plus a few Christmas markets. As the light faded the Christmas lights/markets had atmosphere, very festive!Our friendly guide even showed us a great café to get the Viennese coffee and cake.

This was an interesting tour which gave us a good insight into the city of Vienna. One problem was having to wait 40 minutes for a tram to take us from the city to the Belvedere Palace which was far too long. Another issue, which was not the fault of the tour, was the rude and aggressive nature of the female attendant at the bathroom at the Belvedere Palace. This woman ruins the visit for all tourists and should be relieved of her position. The markets were beautiful and interesting and the tour involved a lot of walking. I do recommend this tour.

Dace was outstanding and gave a lot of information. I'm sure the tour without the Christmas markets would be even more interesting. If you go at Christmas make sure to do the Karlplatz Christmas market as it is much more traditional than the other markets which have a lot of commercial factory made things as opposed to Karlplatz which is clearly a lot of local crafts. Dace does like to show the churches which were all different and interesting but if churches are not your thing....

This was a wonderful tour. Guide was very knowledgeable about Vienna. She was very personable and talked almost the entire time. Answered all of our questions and took us to all the normal tourist places and the out of the way places too. Would highly recommend this tour.

I really enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend it. Our very knowledgeable and awesome guide, Dace Schaefer took us on a fabulous tour of not only several Vienna Christmas markets but also gave us a great over view and insight into this lovely city. It was fun and a great tour.
